The students of 1st year were introduced to a number of exercises that enhances their understanding on the grammar of design and visual composition. In order to develop their presentation skills, visual expression and representation, imaginative thinking and creativity; series of hands on working with various mediums and materials were taught. In line with these objectives, the students learnt form, proportion, scale, figure ground, etc., by experimenting with print making, sculpting and model making using mount board, foam board and thermocol.
