Cities like Chennai are becoming increasingly urbanized, in which the dynamics of population growth coupled with the current trends of urbanization. To equalize the ratio of population, public transports also rising in parallel. The current CMBT at Koyambedu, Chennai is not satisfactory for current population (1.04 cr.) and strength of buses in city.
Hence, it is suggested to propose an additional bus terminal in Southern part of Chennai. Even with consideration of other means of transports like metro and Sub-urban railways and domestic interconnecting facilities, it is proposed for multiple modes of transportation network and shelter.
