Wealth out of Waste (WOW) Workshop
Waste to wealth is a lean management principle used to convert waste to a product that can be put to
primary use; which can be viewed as a process of Generating wealth. Our students made the best use of recycled materials comprising of:
• Paper bundles to create a seating area with an outstanding tensile and flexural strength; that is as good as
a conventional furniture.
• Metal barrels were modified as seating’s by chiselling, treating the corners aesthetically and adding a
wooden plank on top of it.
• Milk crate was interwoven with coir
ropes, turned upside down and put to
use as a seating with storage utilisation
at its base.
• Bamboo poles were stacked together
both vertically and horizontally to
support creepers; with an aesthetic
ambience at dusk using thread pendant
lanterns.
